It’s been about a long time since the Downtown at The Gardens wooden merry go round opened. I asked my individual WPTV identities, Ashleigh Walters and Glenn Glazer, to go along with me as we looked at the historical backdrop of the Merry-Go-Round exclusively made via Carousel Works in Mansfield, Ohio.
Tuesday, July 25, is National Merry-Go-Round Day. Also, to observe Downtown at The Gardens is putting forth FREE merry go round rides practically the entire day to WPTV watchers.
In excess of 35 individuals partook in making the stand-out merry go round intended to fit in with Florida’s fun, tropical air.
There are 27 animals on the merry go round known as the “zoo.” Each piece began as 60 squares of wood stuck together. The more legs, quills, and subtleties the more it took to make. Most pieces took three days to three weeks to cut.
Painting every one of the cut figures on the merry go round was a test. The craftsman utilized photographs of Florida untamed life to get the hues as exact as could reasonably be expected. They additionally utilized paint that would not be influenced by Florida’s warmth and moistness. https://carouselhorserides.com
